Three times each year (Spring, Summer, Fall), SNEAPPA hosts professional development meetings that rotate through member institutions in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. These meetings typically consist of two high-quality educational sessions covering a myriad of topics of interest to facilities professionals of all levels, from senior administrators to front line supervisors. These sessions help our members evaluate, validate and improve their technical expertise; foster management, coaching and people skills; and highlight professional development content and opportunities at the chapter, regional and national level.
Our meetings begin with an early-morning continental breakfast, followed by a brief business meeting that includes welcome statements, chapter, regional and national APPA updates presented by our chapter board members.
Breakfast, lunch and a break between the two PD sessions – along with informative, post-lunch campus tours – provide ample networking opportunities for our institutional and business members to present and share new ideas, experiences, successes and best practices on a wide range of topics.
In addition to these PD offerings, SNEAPPA also offers scholarships to support continuing education opportunities for its members. The SNEAPPA Board established the Scholarship Program to support the continuing education of facilities professionals in Southern New England. The purpose of this program is to provide funding opportunities to the Chapter’s membership to attend professional development (PD) sessions at both the regional and national levels.
